Why I started the on-site peeks:
Your wedding day is supposed to be the most magical day of your life (so far—there’s still so much life to live!), and it’s my job to not only help you get there, but to preserve it forever. But it’s also one of the most chaotic days of your life—and in the rush of timelines and to-dos, it’s easy to forget to slow down and soak it all in. There’s a constant “okay, what’s next?” running through your brain (rightfully so), and that makes it hard to stay grounded in what’s happening right now.
That’s where I come in. I want you to really feel the magic of your ceremony and those quiet, intimate moments with your partner. So during the reception, I slip away and edit a few select images from earlier in the day. Then, when the time is right, I quietly pull you aside and show them to you—so you can relive it all while it’s still unfolding.
Picture this: It’s dinner time, and guests are coming up to tell you how beautiful you look and share their heartfelt wishes for your future. In the middle of those sweet little moments, I quietly slip away for about 15 minutes—grabbing a quick snack (gotta keep my energy up for the dance floor!) and working on a few emotional images from earlier in the day.
Then, when you finally have a quiet moment to breathe with your partner, I gently tap you on the shoulder and ask, “Hey, can I show you something?” As I hand you my laptop, I watch your whole day come rushing back—this time, through your eyes.
I hand you my laptop and let you scroll through a few of the moments I’ve pulled together—your first kiss, the way you looked at each other during your vows, the quiet focus as you slid rings onto each other’s fingers. Suddenly, it all comes rushing back.
Most couples tear up right there on the spot—hugging each other, laughing, or just taking a quiet second to hold hands and really feel the weight of the day.
This is what it’s all about. Not just the photos, but the feeling—the love you’re sharing with the world, now reflected right back to you.
You deserve more than just a gallery link in your inbox the next day. You deserve a moment to breathe, to remember, and to fall in love with your day while you’re still living it.
This isn’t just about photos. It’s about creating space for presence. It’s one of the many small ways I advocate for you, celebrate with you, and help you remember what it all felt like—not just how it looked.
As always;
Keep capturing, keep creating.
